Successful Typographic Solution

This is a Pepsi ad that I took in California on the corner of Hollywood Blvd. The size of this ad is very big compared to normal billboards, so it is noticeable when you drive by. They typeface that is used here is a sans serif type. The ‘do’ is larger then the rest of the words here. The ‘O’s’ are prominent objects here and are filled in with the Pepsi logo. The weight of each letter is bold. The letting between each letter is tight as well, very compact. I feel that it is a successful logo and ad because the overall message and composition works very well together. With the ‘DO’ being bigger then the ‘some good,’ it balances each other out and the symmetry as well is perfect here. If the ‘O’s’ didn’t have the Pepsi’s logo, then I feel this ad would not be successful because people would read the ad and not know what the ad is for right away. With the five colors used here, everything goes very well together. All the colors compliment the Pepsi logo colors. The text is in white which makes it easier to read when it is on a darker background which it is. With the three cans on the lower right corner, it makes the movement and flow of the ad go very well with also the website in the lower left corner.
